The Mystics were a small race of people who spent aeons travelling the cosmos, collating vast knowledge and power. They were a lawful, yet pragmatic race, and while some were nurturing and mostly peaceful, others were prone to action and violence to do what needed to be done. 

The Mystics were led by a group of their finest minds, referred to as the Masters. Having long ago mastered the Spheres and Elements, achieving the peak of their chosen professions, their labour and dedication granted them immortality. They stood amongst the most powerful in the cosmos within their chosen professions, and in many places were regarded as gods and avatars.

The members of this family were the most powerful Masters among their people and were referred to as the Masters of Judgement. The remaining Masters were referred to as the Masters of Law.  

Now, Orin Raktha is not a naturally occurring plane, but one the Mystics constructed, binding together fragments from other world using powerful spells and invocations. This land they encircled within a large range of mountains, and created the Mists to bind the fragments together.  

As the plane was constructed, the Mystics didn’t just take, but gave of themselves too. New visitors to Orin Rakatha will notice the vibrancy and odd “awareness” emanating from the land itself. This arises from the Mother, who gave herself to the land to bring it into being. The Father gave himself to become the mists, residing primarily in the mountains surrounding Orin Rakatha, binding the plane together, and enforcing laws of Travel; drifting towards large gatherings of people away from waystations and home nations. The Masters of Law gave of themselves to become the Nodes, concentrations of the energies that bind Orin Rakatha together, acting almost like anchors to support the structure. That left the Masters of Judgement.  

The Masters of Judgement have now ascended and no longer walk the plane. They now direct and maintain the plane through their Oracles. Mortals of incredible Status that can hear their intents and communicate on their behalf. When an Oracle speaks, Orin Rakatha can change.
