The Courtyard
Description
A weathered expanse of cracked red sandstone, centered around a massive bronze sundial ringed with shifting, timeworn mechanisms that twitch of their own accord. Faint celestial glyphs spiral outward from its base, half-lost beneath creeping vines and dust. Crumbling columns etched with serpent and time motifs surround the space, their carvings shimmering subtly when unobserved. On the Northern side, a grand stone archway leads to the rest of the waystation, away from the tavern, its keystone marked with a radiant sun-disc.
